My father, Lloyd Jensen, was a long-time friend of Vardis. He was a major collector of Fisher's books as well as memorabilia including articles & books about Fisher as well as a collection of post cards received from Vardis and Opal during their travels. My father's widow, Alice Jensen, passed this year and I am in the process of dispensing the collection. I want to know what libraries with special collection facilities are collecting Vardis Fisher's works?

I do not know if they are accepting donated items but Yale University and the University of Idaho and Boise State University all have collections as I understand.

Kaye,

I could put you in touch with the manager of Boise State's special collections. They have the largest Fisher collection out of all three universities.

We would love to have scans of the postcards and anything else to place on this website as well,a if possible.

Hello Kelly

Thank you for the information on libraries. It confirmed my choice of Boise State University. I'll be meeting with Alan Virta of B.S.U.'s Special Collection section of the library early in September. I'll request that copies be made of the post cards and any other memorabilia I think might be appropriate for the website. I'll be composing a history of their friendship and Dad's many years as a Fisher fan and collector for the Lloyd Jensen Fisher Collection.
